STOOZ DRUMS

The Notation Key scores provide the key to all of the song scores on this website.

If you're new to reading drum scores, this is the score that explains which "voice" in the drum kit is to be played when a note is encountered in a score.

A "voice" is one of the items in a drum kit that produces a sound, e.g. the crash cymbal or the snare drum.

If you're a seasoned drummer, and you're used to reading drum transcriptions, you'll be aware that not all writers adhere to the same notation.  This is where the Notation Key is important.

Our Notation Key is based on a standard published by the Percussive Arts Society.

As new transcriptions are added to this website, there may be new voices required.  At that time, the Notation Key will be updated to reflect the new "voice".

If you haven't already downloaded the Notation Key, you can get to the page quickly here.
